Regulation Asia Awards Broadridge Best Solution in Trade Reporting

Singapore/Hong Kong, 9 December 2021 – Broadridge Financial Solutions has won Best Solution in Trade Reporting in the 4th Regulation Asia Awards for Excellence 2021 at an online ceremony on 9 December 2021.

Broadridge was recognised for futureLANDSCAPE, a multi-jurisdictional, multi-asset class solution which consolidates a firm’s regulatory reporting operations into a single platform. The solution provides translation, validation, eligibility and enrichment to ensure compliance with reporting obligations in Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, the EU and US, among other jurisdictions. New markets and regulations are added whenever requested by clients.

The solution gathers data from clients’ trading, customer and reference data systems and harmonises it into a standard data model. Broadridge’s engine also gathers additional data from external sources to populate a complete trade and transaction database for each client, which is then matched against each jurisdiction’s rules to determine reporting needs.

Where reporting is necessary, futureLANDSCAPE formats the data so it can be sent to trade repositories and other relevant agencies, also monitoring for any responses from these agencies to ensure a proactive reaction to any problems that arise. A recently enhanced exception matrix also allows for daily bulk remediation of internal errors and rejections.

“The solution provides data lineage and traceability functionality to show how the data is transformed and routed at a granular level, throughout the lifecycle, which enables users to visualise decisioning and helps with remediation and audit needs,” noted one judge on the awards panel. “Firms that manage their reporting in-house or through other third party platforms can also leverage the solution as a regulatory assurance and validation service.”

Highlighting its increasing focus on the APAC region, Broadridge has recently won an Australian big four bank as a client to handle its reporting obligations across multiple jurisdictions. As part of implementation, Broadridge has built up its Sydney managed service offering, which has direct connectivity to DTCC’s trade repository. A “lighter touch hosted offering” will also be offered in the near future to allow quicker implementation by smaller APAC firms.
